Are fountain pens easy to use?
Absolutely? While it may be a slight adjustment versus a traditional ballpoint or rollerball pen, using a fountain pen can be mastered very quickly. Many people who write with a fountain pen realize they can be an enjoyable way to write notes, cards, and journals.
Do you ship internationally?
We sure do. For a small additional charge, international shipping can be arranged.
Will your fountain pens take an ink cartridge?
Yes, each pen comes with a standard Schmidt K5 converter, that can easily be replaced with an ink cartridge if you prefer.
Do you offer returns?
We strive to ensure you are fully satisfied with your fountain pen purchase. If not, contact us within 15 days, and we’ll definitely offer an exchange or full refund upon return of your purchase.
Where do I purchase ink for my fountain pen?
Local office supply stores, and online stores such as Amazon carry a variety of colors and brands of ink. If you’re fortunate enough to have a stationary story in your area, you may have a wider selection than the big box office supply stores. Always look for a quality ink, and don’t be afraid to try different brands and colors.
What size nibs do you offer?
Unless specified, most of our pens come standard with Bock 250 nibs, in extra fine, fine, medium, or broad. Finishes, unless specified are stainless steel or gold plated.
How do I care for my fountain pen?
Fountain pens are easy to care for. If you find it necessary to clean your fountain pen, warm water is usually the only solution you need. Remove the nib, and converter, and rinse with warm water. Flush the converter until the water is clear. Use a damp paper towel to clean the nib. Replace the cartridge, or reassemble the converter /nib section and refill.
How does a fountain pen work?
Ink flows from the reservoir down the feed to the nib. From there the ink travels down the nib until it touches the tip of the nib. When the nib comes in contact with the page, the capillary action to “pulls” the ink out of the nib onto the paper.
